A glass cabochon handmade in my garden shed also known as 'The Melting Pot'. The cabochon is made from a base of sheet white glass topped with deep pink and purple powders followed by clear pebbles of glass which is then fired in the kiln to create the pattern. It is then topped with clear glass in a subsequent firing for a glossy finish before being drilled into a circle and fired for the final time to polish the edges. I have set the cabochon in an unusual Sterling Silver long offset droplet setting.
 
The pendant hangs from an 18inch Sterling Silver corb chain.
